Delete your GPSforFamily account.

You can ask us to delete the account you created in the GPSforFamily Android or iOS app, together with the data stored for it. This page applies to the app published by postmcpai (GPSforFamily).

Delete it in the app

Open the app, go to the More tab and tap Delete account, then confirm. Your account is deleted straight away. If you signed in with Apple, the app’s access to your Apple ID is revoked as well.

Or ask us by email

If you no longer have the app, send an email to hello@postmcpai.com with the subject line “GPSforFamily account deletion” from the Google or Apple email address you used to sign in. We use that address to confirm you own the account, then delete it within 30 days and reply to confirm. You can also leave a family at any time from the More tab in the app without deleting your account.

What is deleted

Your profile (name, email, avatar), your device push tokens, your location and battery history, your alerts and SOS records, your membership in every family circle, and any unused invitations you created. If you are the only person in a family, the family, its safe zones and its invitation codes are deleted as well; if others remain, the safe zones stay with the family and the longest-standing member becomes its administrator if you were the only one.

What is kept

Your family sees a “left the family” note under your family nickname in its Alerts feed, which is deleted after 90 days like every alert. Location history already expires automatically after 30 days and alert records after 90 days, whether or not you delete your account. Anonymous server request logs held by our hosting provider expire on their normal schedule.

Deleting only some data

You can delete individual safe zones from the app, and family administrators can remove members. To have location history or alerts cleared without closing your account, email the address above and say which data you want removed.
